"English Sharpness, Dreams Set Sail" ：English Mastery Challenge in the School of Information Engineering Has Been Proudly Unveiled!

近日，MILAN.COM米兰体育(中国)科技公司中外合作办学项目组与国际语言中心（GLC）联合举办的24级英语大师挑战赛圆满落幕。此次挑战赛旨在提升学生的英语综合能力，激发学习兴趣，并为他们提供一个展示自我、锻炼能力的平台。

Recently, the 24th Grade English Mastery Challenge, jointly organized by the Sino-US Cooperation Program of the School of Information Engineering and the Global Language Center, has successfully come to a close. This competition aims to enhance students' comprehensive English abilities, stimulate their interest in learning, and provide them with a platform to showcase themselves and hone their skills.

初赛：激烈角逐，展现风采

Preliminary Round: Intense Competition, Display of Talent

初赛于11月5日在MILAN.COM米兰体育(中国)科技公司的多媒体教室举行。比赛吸引了2024级中外合作办学项目组众多的学子积极参与，他们怀揣着对英语的热爱与追求，纷纷报名参赛。初赛环节包括英语单词，听力，阅读和口语几个部分，全面考察学生的英语综合能力。选手们沉着冷静，认真作答，充分展现了他们扎实的英语基础和出色的应试技巧。经过紧张激烈的角逐，最终有9组选手脱颖而出，成功晋级决赛。

The preliminary round was held in the multimedia classroom of the School of Information Engineering on November 5. The competition attracted many students from the 2024 cohort of the joint program with foreign universities, who were passionate about English and eager to participate. The initial round included English vocabulary, listening, reading, and speaking sections, comprehensively examining students' overall English proficiency. The contestants were calm and composed, and answered the questions seriously,fully demonstrating their solid English foundation and excellent test-taking skills. After a tense and exciting competition, a total of 9 teams emerged as winners and advanced to the final round.

决赛：巅峰对决，精彩纷呈

Finals: Summit Clash,A Feast of Excellence

决赛于11月13日在西B211隆重举行，现场气氛热烈，观众席座无虚席。决赛环节包括“Yes or No”，单词盲盒，画里话外，声临其境几个部分，旨在进一步挖掘学生的英语潜力和综合素质。

The finals were held with great ceremony on November 13th in West B211, with a lively atmosphere and a fully occupied auditorium. The final round included sections such as "Yes or No," Word Blind Box, Picture Talk, and Immersive Dubbing, aimed to explore students' English potential and overall quality.

“yes or no”

“yes or no”环节，是对选手们单词积累和反应能力的挑战。在这个环节中，选手们将面对一系列英语单词，需要在极短的时间内做出判断，并给出“yes”或“no”的回答，让选手们在紧张刺激的氛围中，充分展现自己的智慧和才华。

"Yes or No" section is a challenge to the contestants' vocabulary accumulation and reaction speed. In this part, students face a series of English words-related questions and are required to make judgments within an extremely short period of time,giving "yes" or "no" answers. This allow students to fully demonstrate their intelligence and talent in an intense and exciting atmosphere.

“单词盲盒”

“单词盲盒”环节，是本次决赛的一大创新点。在这个环节中，选手们将从盲盒中随机抽取单词，并在限定时间内读出单词的正确发音和中文意思。这个环节不仅考验了选手们的词汇量，更增加了比赛的趣味性和挑战性。

"Word Blind Box" section is a major innovation of this competition. In this part, students randomly draw words from a blind box and are required to pronounce the words correctly and give their Chinese meanings within a limited time. This section not only tests students' vocabulary but also add fun and challenge to the competition.

“画里话外”

“画里话外”环节，是一次对选手们创意表达能力和想象力的考验。选手们将根据一幅图片，用英语讲述一个故事。这个环节要求选手们具备扎实的语言基础，同时拥有丰富的想象力和创造力，能够将图片中的信息转化为生动、有趣的故事。

"Picture Talk" is a test of students' creative expression abilities and imagination. Students will tell a story based on a given picture.This part demand that students possess a solid language foundation, as well as abundant imagination and creativity, to transform the information in the picture into a vivid and interesting story .

“声临其境”

“声临其境”环节，是本次决赛的一大亮点。选手们将选择经典影视片段，进行英文配音，并尽量展现情感和发音的准确性。这不仅考验了选手们的英语口语水平，更是一次对角色情感深刻理解的展现。

"Immersive Dubbing" is a highlight of this competition. Students will select classic film or television clips and perform English dubbing, striving to showcase the accuracy of their emotions and pronunciation, which not only test their English speaking abilities but also demonstrate their profound understanding of character emotions.

经过评委们的认真评选和打分，最终，来自统本软件2403（中外）班的JM汉化组获得了本场比赛的一等奖，来自统本软件2402（中外）和统本软件2401（中外）的Passion队和一路向北队获得二等奖。啊对对队，贪得吴彦组，有请下一队获得了本场比赛的三等奖。

After careful evaluation and scoring by the judges, the JM Localization Team from the Software Engineering 2403 (Sino-Foreign) ultimately won the first prize in this competition, while the Passion Team and the All the Way North Team secured the second prizes.The Aduidui Team, the Greedy Wu Yan Group, and the Youqingxiadui Team received the third prizes.
